This is what happens when you grow up in Pittsburgh

I think everyone can agree that Tobacco’s Fucked Up Friends was one of the best albums released in 2008. I also believe that everyone can agree that this is an awesome promo spot for the album. The awesomeness of the promo has to do with the fact that it was conceived by and stars Derrick Beckles… the guy who was also behind those Truth anti-tobacco ads. Get it? There’s also another one that features cigarettes fucking.

 

My, How Far The Boomtown Rats Have Come

It’s Christmas Eve! For most people, this is a time to look forward to the disappointment of Christmas morning and the economic hardships that follow. For me, it’s an excuse to post the music video for “Do They Know It’s Christmas?” Aside from holding some sort of world record for most douchebags on a single song, the part where Bono sings “tonight thank God it’s them instead of you” is the weirdest line ever. What the hell does he mean by that?

Also of note is the hip-hopified re-release of the song.

 

Leave off the ‘S’ for Stavings

Wait, there’s a hip-hop group called Kidz in the Hall? I was really confused when first watching it. I kept waiting for old Canadian dudes to pop up and say something funny.
