Vodka Drunkenski is my role model

I must confess that I have a huge boner for the classic Nintendo game Mike Tyson’s Punch-Out. The combination of simplistic boxing mechanics and damaging racial stereotypes is irresistible. How can you not pop one for an italian dude named Pizza Pasta? The above video, advertising the upcoming Wii Punch-Out title, masterfully takes advantage of my nostalgia. The casting for Doc Louis is spot on.

Nintendo’s launch trailer for the DSi. I have to say that I really enjoy the motion work here, and the whole thing is beautifully done. The white room motif, however, freaks me the hell out.

 

‘Pie’ is a euphemism

A Nintendo Customer Service training video from 1991. Training video is meant to convey information clearly… so what’s up with the soft-focus butter lens? I imagine some film school drop-out was not happy with his life choices.
